About Windy City Bread
Windy City Bread was developed by Shannon McEwen-Barbas, a home baker and life-long lover of all things bread. In March 2020, she made her first sourdough starter and was successfully able to bake a sourdough soon after. Although the first loaf wasn’t pretty (and slightly underbaked…) it was tasty!
Many, many loaves of sourdough later, Shannon got the science and methods down and found she enjoyed sharing her breads and other baked goods with people. After the urging of her friends and family, she (finally) set off to sell her products in January 2020 with the launch of Windy City Bread!
